Carburetors and associated mechanical products

Stromberg Carburetor warrants its new carburetors and associated mechanical products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the duration of one (1) year from the date of the original purchase. After one year, repairs are available from Stromberg Carburetor at standard rates.

Carburetor purchasers, please fill out the warranty registration card (or register online) within thirty (30) days of purchase to insure proper processing of your warranty. Please print the serial number of the carburetor CLEARLY on the card or online.

Warranty Exclusions

Stromberg Carburetor does not warrant carburetors and associated mechanical products which are damaged as a result of improper installation or application. Improper installation and application includes, but is not limited to: (1) failing to follow or deviating from the installation instructions provided by Stromberg Carburetor; (2) modifying or altering the carburetor beyond factory specifications; (3) subjecting the product to adverse conditions, abuse, misuse, neglect, accident, collisions, dirt or other contaminants, water or corrosion, gum or varnish, use of improper or poor quality fuel or fuel additives, or faulty repair; and (4) improper adjustment, fire from a backfire, running without a quality air filter and fuel filter, or excessive fuel pressure. Stromberg Carburetor also does not warrant, and disclaims all liability for, products used for racing, or any non-automotive, marine, or aircraft application or purpose. If you are unclear whether a modification, alteration, or particular application or use may affect your warranty, please contact Stromberg Carburetor before proceeding.

Clothing

Stromberg Carburetor warrants clothing products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship at the time of purchase. The clothing warranty covers defect of workmanship and materials, but DOES NOT cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, laundering, normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colours and material through time, exposure or extensive use.
 
Due to technical processes used, it is imperative that each individual garment's washing instructions are adhered to exactly as stated on the care label. We cannot accept returns that have been soiled, torn or damaged due to incorrect washing.

Coverage

Stromberg Carburetor is the sole and final judge of whether a product is covered by the warranty. In the event that Stromberg Carburetor determines that a defect in material or workmanship exists, Stromberg Carburetor’s responsibility is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the product or parts, at Stromberg Carburetor’s choice, and the return of said part with freight prepaid. Stromberg Carburetor has no other obligation, and makes no other warranties – whether express or implied.
 
As used herein, the term “Purchaser” shall mean the original purchaser or consumer of the Stromberg Carburetor product. The Limited Warranty is restricted to the Purchaser. The warranty is not assignable or otherwise transferable.

Limited Liability

STROMBERG CARBURETOR PROVIDES NO WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED OTHER THAN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. STROMBERG CARBURETOR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
 
IN NO EVENT SHALL STROMBERG CARBURETOR OR ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, RELATED ENTITIES OR SUCCESSORS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, PRODUCTS OR SERVICES SOLD, WHETHER BASED IN WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. STROMBERG CARBURETOR’S MAXIMUM LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.
 
Stromberg Carburetor neither assumes, nor authorizes any other person to assume for us, any other liability in connection with the sale of this genuine Stromberg Carburetor product. Stromberg Carburetor does not warranty whatsoever any accessories or parts supplied by other manufacturers.
 
Any implied warranty determined to be applicable is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty.
 
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. However, you may also have other rights that may vary from state to state or province. This Limited Warranty constitutes the entire understanding between Stromberg Carburetor and the Purchaser.

Warranty Procedure

Carburetors and associated mechanical products

In order to exercise this Limited Warranty, the Purchaser must: (1) Contact the supplying dealer with a clear description of the problem or return the defective product to the place of purchase; (2) supply the dated purchase receipt; and (3) provide a completed Warranty Claim Information Tag. At that point, the dealer will apply for a Return Goods Authorization (“RGA”) number from Stromberg Carburetor. If the warranty claim is approved by Stromberg Carburetor, an RGA number will be issued and the product will be returned to Stromberg Carburetor for repair or exchanged at the point of purchase. Warranty claims will be rejected if the Purchaser cannot establish the date of purchase.
 

Clothing

If a defect in workmanship or materials is suspected in a Stromberg Carburetor clothing product, the Purchaser should contact the supplying dealer within the first 30 days of ownership. Please include as many details as possible about the fault. The dealer will contact Stromberg Carburetor who will advise on how to proceed with the return. If the garment fails due to material or manufacturer defect, within warranty coverage, Stromberg Carburetor will replace or credit it at our discretion. We require that all products returned are in clean condition. Products that are dirty will be rejected and returned to sender charging freight.
 
Do not send products directly to Stromberg Carburetor. Stromberg Carburetor assumes no responsibility for products sent directly to Stromberg Carburetor.
 
NOTE: NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT AN RGA NUMBER

New Stromberg carburetors are legal ONLY for off-road use or for use on pre-emission controlled motor vehicles/motor vehicle engines (pre-1966 domestic vehicles certified to California standards, pre-1968 domestic vehicles certified to federal standards and all pre-1968 foreign vehicles) per Stromberg Carburetor’s application guide.
