Yes, they're
back, even though they never went away. And they're just the
same, But better than ever. A brand new carburetor with
Stromberg on one side. A big fat 97 on the other. And all
the other markings too.
And boy did
we do it the hard way. Over its 20+ year history, the 97
changed in so many ways. So we started with the original
1930's specifications, consulted with experts over potential
improvements, and brought all the best features together
into the ultimate 97 carburetor. You're going to be knocked
out when you see 'em.

- A new,
improved early style cast iron base with stock size -
not second-best oversize - throttle shaft, and the later
Stromberg 1-1 style circuits built-in for improved
off-idle response.
- A new
big 97 logo, Type 1 bowl casting, pressure-cast in new
dies, CNC-machined for a blue-print parts fit with brand
new emulsion tubes. No oversize screw threads. No
mystery parts from previous rebuilds. No problems.
- Stock Stromberg jetting
– 0.045" main jets and a Number 65 power valve.
- A new
air horn casting with extra meat around the float bowl
lid to help prevent warping (and leaks) if you get a
little heavy on the screws.
- The
super-trick new Stromberg Superfloat™. A perfect shape
with the stock brass hinge cast in for correct
adjustability, and ultra-sonic welded so it won't sink.
We love this piece, and you will too
- A newly
developed no-stick S-Jet inlet valve.
- Modern,
high-tech, reinforced cellulose/nitrile gaskets. No
leaks is a major project target, and these beauties are
half the battle won.
- Stainless
steel instead of plated mild steel throughout. Who needs
rust? Not us. Our springs are stainless. So is the
accelerator pump rod, the throttle linkage, choke plate,
lever and more.
- Beautiful
new investment cast stainless steel throttle and
accelerator pump levers.
- The
correct pale lemon chromate colour with irridescent
highlights, using the original Ford Service Bulletin
process. And correct black Parkerized/lacquered bases.
- An
easily removable choke shaft. Leave the angle grinder in
its box.
